My kind of holiday {wiaw 1.9}

Did you know it’s National Pizza Week? I just found out via CarrotsnCake the other day. Now that’s my kind of holiday. By now, you guys should know I love any and all kinds of pizza. It wasn’t difficult for me to celebrate….

Anyway, I’ll get to my WIAW post (yesterday). I woke up pretty cranky and sore…likely from my long-ish run on Monday. I really didn’t feel like running, so I just went on a short loop and eventually got into it. I didn’t bring my Garmin, so that definitely reduced stress for me to race myself. I was excited for breakfast when I got back. I made a Blueberry Breakfast Bake from Fit Foodie Finds! It was SO good. Especially topped with peanut butter, duh. I used her exact recipe, except I had to bake it for about 7 extra minutes.

Mid-morning, I had an apple.

I spent the morning running some random errands per usual. In case you didn’t know, Old Navy has a 40% sale of all their active wear. Coming from someone who’s wardrobe consists of yoga pants and leggings, this is a great deal. When I got home, I made a tortilla pizza with hummus, kale, mushrooms, and chicken. I also added a bunch of goat cheese.

Baked in the oven at 400 degrees for about 12 minutes, and I was good! I dipped it in some TJ’s peach salsa, which was a surprisingly good combination. I ended up getting a huge headache after lunch, so I pretty much lazed around and caught up on all my trashy TV (Teen Mom 2, Catfish, and Buckwild). I love them all and I’m totally fine with admitting it.

Snack time rolled around, so it was time for Chobani and LoveGrown foods granola. A couple handfuls of granola followed.

Ugh, want to guess what I had for dinner? I bet you’re getting bored of seeing this. My mom and I made a big pizza topped with lots of veggies, chicken sausage, and mozzarella cheese. After dinner, my mom and sister went to yoga. I’m not allowed to go because I’m not a member of the gym…so Pippa and I did yoga with Tara Styles. Ok, she just watched.

Now, I’m sitting on the couch without plans to move anytime soon. I think we’re planning on starting to catch up on the HBO show Girls before the second season starts. I’ve only watched a couple episodes so far, and I’m a fan. Okay, I lied. I’ll probably get up within the next ten minutes to eat…probably something chocolate-y and peanut butter-y. Because that’s what I like.

Have a great Wednesday! Thanks to Jenn for hosting – check out her blog to see what everyone else is up to!

    Teen Mom 2 and Catfish are the best, lol! Your pizzas look so good. I’ve been really into making homemade pizzas lately. I definitely want to add broccoli to my next one.

    i have been all over goat cheese this week since i opened up a pack in my fridge. i’ve been going in and just dipping random stuff in it while standing in front of my fridge…no shame. crackers and goat cheese are the best. so are index fingers and goat cheese…okay anyway, i want that blueberry breakfast bake right now! i have so many baked oatmeal recipes pinned that i want to try, but i don’t have time in the morning to make them so i always end up thinking i’ll make them on the weekends and then i’m just craving pancakes. it’s like a vicious cycle…

      Goat cheese is SOO good. I’ve only gotten the crumbles so far, so I’ll definitely have to look for some of the dipping kind …for index fingers and crackers :) I actually prepped the bake the night before and put it in the fridge so it was ready to bake in the morning! It’d be a great switch-up to pancakes on the weekend:)

    I love love love all the pizza in this post…I will be buying supplies to recreate them this weekend! We watched Buckwild for the first time on Friday and Saturday, since we were out of Jersey Shore episodes (classy I know)….wow is all I can say haha. I really want to see Girls but I don’t have HBO! Trying to figure out how to make this possible…

    Oh all that pizza looks so good!! I would love to know what you thought of the Old Navy workout clothes when you wear them!

    All of your eats look delicious, I always drool over your pizzas! I’ve been wanting to make baked oatmeal for weeks [and saw that recipe, it looks tasty!] but my brain is seriously pancake driven first thing in the morning :P Maybe I’ll leave a note on the counter the night before to remind myself haha!
