Scheduling is key.

challenge? count me in.

As you well know, I’ve been making some changes to my blog so I can continue to use it and begin to take blogging more seriously. For me, blogging began as a means of expressing myself…for all to see. As I look back on my posts, it’s really cool to see how much I’ve grown and all I’ve accomplished thus far in my blogging career.

When I began, I had absolutely no idea how much blogging would impact me and just how big (and global!) the blogging world is. It still continues to amaze me. I am by no means a pro, but I’m learning and improving my skills every day. I’d love to advance my blog to the levels of other fellow bloggers, so I’m making changes in order to get up to that level.

This all being said, these changes take time. Time that seems to be less and less as I make my way into the semester as I balance school, my sorority, and both my Her Campus and Alive Campus internships. And running…but I didn’t feel that was so necessary. You already know that’s a must. As much as I’d love to spend all my time in Starbucks making my blog the coolest ever, I just don’t have that kind of time in school. I’ve noticed a definite increase in my blogging when I’m home.

Scheduling is key.
Scheduling is key.

I am striving to do something to improve my blog every day, so when I saw Julie’s tweet about the #28DBC, I had to get involved. Not only would this force me to blog every day, (as used to be a habit) but it will also help me to re-up the blog. There’s also a fun giveaway involved…I could win a lot of Popchips. That should be a reason to join in and of itself, yes?

So, as my first post of the #28DBC, I’ll mention a change that happened a little while ago. When I realized I could no longer upload any more image files to my WordPress-hosted page, I took a big step and bought my domain name and switched to self-hosting. This was super exciting for me. I have my own website?!

As you can see, we still have a bit of work to do.

I still plan on continuing normal blog talk and boring you with my daily activities, but I thought this challenge would be fun to participate in. Oh, I mentioned my internship a while ago…so check out my most recent post! I’m having a lot of fun with this internship. It’s unpaid, but still great experience. Blogging as a job rocks.

28 day challenge

This weekend, I plan to sleep as much as my body will allow itself to (likely not much). My days are free, which is something I haven’t had in two weeks. Lazing around mixed in with some homework here and there sounds like a plan to me. Have a great Friday!

Enjoy those lazy days! What do you mean that you couldn’t upload any more pictures? I’m worried that’s going to happen to me soon!! I’m not ready to branch out into the big bad world of self-hosting!
