Good morning! How was your weekend? I think I’m really going to commit a blogger crime here and tell you that it wasn’t all sunshine and butterflies this weekend. I think we fall into bad habits of only showing the good stuff without sharing any of the bad. We’re human, for goodness sakes! Things happen.
That all being said, I’m still going to post along with Katie and all her MIMM disciples, because I think it’s important to highlight the good stuff.
Marvelous is…a Saturday morning run. As I previously alluded to, I woke up waaaay on the other side of the bed on Saturday morning. Not sure what happened, but I was in an anxiety-ridden funk all day. Not a fan. Nothing a good run can’t fix right?
Marvelous is…a couple good days at work. I worked both days this weekend, which I haven’t done in a while. I know I complain a lot about work, but working retail just reminds me how important it is for me to get a degree that will allow me to work in a field I love. The money’s good, now though. And, hey, if I can inspire people to buy clothes and find their inner fashionista, I am A-okay with that.
Marvelous is…an impromptu coffee date on Sunday morning with my best. Seriously, sometimes all you need is a strong cup of coffee and someone who will listen to you talking about nothing.
Marvelous is…breakfast. I may be committing a blogger fail with the whole “honestly, it wasn’t the best weekend” thing, but I’m a total blogger when it comes to my love for breakfast. Yogurt + granola + melted almond/peanut butter + banana = a beautiful, delicious, mess.
Come to think of it, this weekend wasn’t as bad as I’ve made it out to be. Just call me a drama queen, I guess. I did realize a couple of things this past weekend that I look forward to writing about…the importance of unplugging and living in the moment, some exciting plans, and doing a little more of what makes me happy as opposed to what I think will make others happy.
Deep stuff, huh? Hope you have a great Monday!
