Hey! Long time no talk, eh? I seriously did not mean to leave you for so long. Okay, I meant to step back for a couple days…but after reading Sarah’s post yesterday, I’ve realized I’m pretty “all or nothing” myself, and leaving blogging on the wayside makes me a bit sad.
I’ll try to catch up as best as possible, but not too much has been going on around here. Babysitting, working, and finally finishing up my summer class. HOORAY for summer classes boosting my GPA.
I’ve been trying to think of the direction I want to give this little blog thing, but then decided that was pointless because I’m still going to blog about what I usually do: food/new recipes, running, school, and family/friends. Soooo here’s a little recap in the Megan way. I think last time we left off I spent a couple weekends visiting friends?
Food…tons of overnight oats. Lately, I’ve been loving omitting the Greek yogurt (mostly because I ran out and don’t want to buy more before I leave) and stirring in a couple tablespoons of nut butter and honey. The one on the top right was CASHEW butter with toasted coconut cashews on top. Why oh why did I just discover cashew butter?
Oh, and then there are the nights when my entire family leaves me to move the little sister in to college so I drown my sadness in Whole Foods salad bar noms and Gilmore Girls.
Yep – you heard me. My little sister left for college on Tuesday and I definitely cried dropping her and my family off at the airport. It shall be interesting moving all my stuff in to the sorority house without Dad power, right? Thank goodness for strong friends.
Not only did my family leave Tuesday, but my last day of babysitting was Wednesday. I’ll definitely miss seeing the kids every morning.
I’m also pretty bummed that I finally got hooked on a book series/genre just in time for school to start…
Ok that’s enough bumming for now…
LASTLY because this post is super long-winded, I thought I would update you on that whole running love/obsession I have. Well, it’s back in full swing and I may or may not be running 3 halfs in 3 months. So far, I’ve only had the balls to sign up for two, but that third one is definitely in the back of my mind.
If you stuck with me for all of that, thanks. I have really missed blogging and even though its been a little silent on my end, I’ve been reading all of yours (no lie, I look forward to checking feedly in the morning). I am super excited to start my junior year (with senior status, hehe) and cannot wait to get on the road back to the Burg! You’ll definitely see me around here, but just expect some more sporadic posts. Sometimes, blogging makes me stressed and ain’t nobody got time for that on top of an 18-credit schedule. Why do I do this to myself….
Until next time!
